Latvian Geotechnical Laboratory Gruntseksperts (hereinafter LGL Gruntseksperts) was founded in 2014. On May 2015 the laboratory was accredited according to LVS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in physical and mechanical testing of soil and aggregate properties (Latvian National Accreditation Bureau’s registration number of accreditation LATAK-T-510).
LGL Gruntseksperts has the widest range of soil physical and mechanical tests to offer in Latvia. The sample testing is conducted by high-skilled professionals with operating experience more than 30 years using up to date testing methods and equipment.
In addition to accredited areas, LGL Gruntseksperts provides testing to determine soil aggressiveness towards concrete and steel.

In collaboration with geological company Ģeo Eko Risinājumi laboratory provides soil testing in situ (plate load test) and sampling according to LVS EN ISO 22475-1:2014 standard:
- undisturbed structure monolith sampling at the object of construction for density and water content determination;
- disturbed structure sampling at the object of construction for the determination of compaction coefficient, particle size distribution, soil permeability and execution of Proctor test.
